Winnifred Davis ''Nee Ludt'' Bittinger

Winnifred Davis (nee Ludt) Bittinger, age 90, of Street, MD, died on December 31, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Carlisle, PA, she was the daughter of the late John C. Ludt and Bertha Kingsboro Schearer, and was also preceded in death by her husbands, Hoke Bittinger, who she was married to for 21 years, and Alpha Davis. Formerly of Middle River for 44 years, she had worked for Martin Marietta, as well as, the Register of Wills in Towson. She liked to bowl, play pinochle, read, and eat out.

Mrs. Bittinger is survived by a son, Terry L. Bittinger and wife, Lois A., of Westminster, MD; daughter, Bonita Stinchcomb and husband, Norman, of Street, MD; brother, Marlin Ludt of Carlisle, PA; five grandchildren, Kimberly A. Helmbrecht and husband, Ron, of Parsonsburg, MD, Nicole Brewer-Schwartz and husband, Jeffrey, of Owings Mills, MD, Michael L. Bittinger and wife, Stacey, of Abbottstown, PA, Amy L. Bittinger of Columbia, MD, and Christina M. Bittinger of Catonsville, MD; and two great-grandchildren, Samantha Elizabeth Schwartz of Owings Mills, MD and Kate Elizabeth Bittinger of Abbottstown, PA. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by a sister, Alma Gregor.
