Wilton H. Wann, age 86, of Churchville, MD, passed away on March 31, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Bradshaw, MD, he was the son of the late Millard Jacob and Grace Addelle Clayton Wann. He was a career C&P Telephone Co. employee for over 37 years, Mr. Wann served in the Army in Germany in the early fifties. After retirement he worked for a brief period of three years with the Department of the Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground as a telephone repairman before retiring again in 1988 due to health reasons. He was a member of Bel Air United Methodist Church, the Telephone Pioneers of America and Communication Workers of America local 2100. Mr. Wann was dedicated to the well-being and activities of his wife, children and grandchildren. His hobby can only be described as doing whatever needed to be fixed or done at home.
Mr. Wann is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen "Kathleen" (Moxley) Wann; son, Larry M. Wann and wife, Linda, of Cary, NC; daughter, Sandra J. Kennedy and husband, Carman, of Delta, PA; brother, Raymond A. Wann of Milford, DE; grandchildren, Erin W. Allen and husband, Grey, of Apex, NC, Alison M. Wann of Sanford, NC and Eric T. Kennedy of Delta, PA; and great-grandsons Wesley and Owen Allen of Apex, NC.
Contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation in lieu of flowers.
