WILMER B. ROSS, age 78, of Aberdeen, died in Citizens Care Center, Havre de Grace, on November 18, 2003. Born in Flatridge, Virginia, he was the son of the late J. Lester and Stella Huff Ross. He had retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground after 30 years of service where he worked as a security guard. For many years he played in a band that played gospel music. He attended Bible Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II.
Mr. Ross is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sally Neal Ross; two daughters, Betty Thompson of Atlanta, Georgia; Ann Maruyama of Yorktown, Virginia; two step-daughters, Polly F. Archer of Abingdon; Carolyn J. Delaney of Jessup, Georgia; one brother, Carlye Ross of Sugargrove, Virginia; one sister, Ruby Betsey Yakel of Baltimore; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Howard Archer, David Archer, Robert Stone, Bobby Stone, and Richard Maruyama.
