William “Jimmy” M. Wengert, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully at the age of 64, on the evening of June 13, 2024, at Gilchrist Hospice at GBMC in Towson, Maryland. Jimmy was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the son of the late Conrad Sr. and Dolores (Wager) Wengert and the beloved husband of the late Eleanore “Ellie” (Hamel) Wengert.
He was a dedicated employee for over 25 years with Equity Management, where co-workers alike easily came to love him and considered him family. Along the way, he received many master certifications in his field.
Jimmy had a passion for motorcycles and loved working with his hands, always tinkering with his tools and happy to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He was a fan of western movies and cherished time spent entertaining his grandchildren with his many gas-powered toys. Above all, Jimmy was known for his ability to make others happy and bring laughter into their lives with his daily comedic comments. His dream was to retire on “sum beach” with his wife.
He is survived by his daughters, Crystal (Christopher) Petr, Sarah (Brian) Frey, Amanda Frey; and son Daniel (Autum) Frey.
He also leaves behind his brother, John (Stephanie) Wengert; and sisters, Kathy (Wayne) Jones, Bernadette Wengert, Cherie (Chris) Montgomery; his grandchildren, Brianna, Hailey, Austin, Jack and DJ. Along with many nieces and nephews who adored him.
