William Thomas Leasure

William “Bill” Thomas Leasure, age 76, of Edgewood, Maryland passed away on January 19, 2022 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Cumberland, Maryland, he was the son of Russell and Edna (Hott) Leasure. Married to Betty in 1966, they were high school sweethearts. William went on to work as a millwright at Bethlehem Steel, where he retired after 37 years.

 William loved to tell stories. Before he retired, they were short stories, in recent years they turned into novels. He liked hunting, was heavily involved in politics, and was a member of the Edgewood Assembly of God. William loved his dog Winston and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

 William is survived by his wife Betty June (Benson) Leasure; son, Charles William Leasure; daughter, Melissa Sue (Erik) Underwood; grandchildren, Hope, Dominic, Nathan, Benjamin, Alexandra, Brett, Andrew, Paul, Ryan and Madison; great grandchildren, William, Riley and Arlo; sister, Anna Leasure; and brothers, Russell (Maxine) Leasure and Samuel (Carol) Leasure.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Alma Miller, Dorothy Lease and Loretta Kline
