WILLIAM RICHARD SAYERS, SR., age 60, of Edgewood, died in West Virginia on May 31, 2003. Born in Tazewell, Virginia, he was the son of Earl Frederick Sayers, Sr. of Bastian, Virginia and Virginia B. Murray Sayers of Holtwood, Pennsylvania. A resident of Harford County for 15 years, he worked as a carpenter for the V.A. Medical Center. He was a member of the American Legion in Edgewood and the V.F.W. in Joppatowne. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool in different pool leagues, and NASCAR. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sayers is survived by his wife of 15 years, Cynthia E. Fleming Sayers; one son, William Richard Sayers, Jr.; three daughters, Dawn Elise Sayers of Baltimore; Sara Nicole Sayers of Edgewood; Jessica Michelle Sayers of Edgewood; four brothers, Earl Frederick Sayers, Jr. of Tazewell, Virginia; Ronald Jackson Sayers, Sr. of Essex; Gerald Wayne Sayers of Tazewell, Virginia; Raymond Lee Sayers of Richmond, Virginia; two sisters, Connie Sue Kearns of Boulder, Colorado; Evelyn Ann Blevins of Holtwood, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Tori Miranda-Beatrice Woodard of Baltimore; Rebecka Kaitlyn Woodard of Baltimore; and Ethan Jarrod Woodard of Baltimore.
