William Norton

William Norton, age 67, of Aberdeen, Maryland passed away on May 4, 2018 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Born in Havre de Grace, he was the son of William Arthur and Mary Ruth (Watters) Norton. He attended Aberdeen High School and graduated in 1969. He worked as a Distribution Clerk for 38 years at Harford Memorial Hospital, and last attended Helping Hands Ministry in Churchville.
William was a loving person, hard workers, and always had a smile. He was a devoted father, loving father, and uncle. He was a dear friend to Marvin Croxsell. William loved sports and attending local games. He was affectionately known as Gator by family and the community, and Bill by his coworkers.
Mr. Norton is survived by daughter, Aretha Renee Norton of Edgewood; two sisters, Betty Ann Grimsley of Newark, NJ and Joan "Joann" Ann Woodley of Abingdon; brother, John Theodore Lee, Sr. (Edna) of Havre de Grace; two grandchildren, Ta'Shawn Lamont Brown of Edgewood and Nyzeak Latrell Williams; nephew, Dwayne Anthony Norton; and a host of other nephews, nieces and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, James Ellis Lee, Sr., Ethel Mae Lee, Ruth Marie Talbert, Vernon E. Lee and Rosetta Byrd.
