William McCarthy Jr. died at the age of 74 on August 16, 2016 at his home in Bel Air, MD. He was born in Washington, DC to William Joseph McCarthy and Helen Cathryn (Sheehan) McCarthy. He was a graduate of Loyola College and proudly served as a Maryland State Trooper for 25 years. He enjoyed traveling to Ireland, was a WWII enthusiast, and a member of both the F.O.P and the Morgans of Philadelphia. Bill would like to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts and to please raise a pint of Guinness on his behalf and enjoy a fond memory of him.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Alice McCarthy; his daughter L. Colleen Andrew of Bel Air, his sons William J. McCarthy (Eileen) of Timonium and Patrick M.A. McCarthy (Melissa) of Forest Hill; his sister Kathleen May of Chesapeake Beach; his grandchildren Chelsea, Colin, Declan, Liam and Cate McCarthy, Demitri, James and Caitlin Andrew, Christian and Garin Sherman; his niece, Elizabeth Fidler of Dunkirk and his nephew, Carl May of Rockville.
