William Edgett passed away in his home in Bluffton, South Carolina. He was 91 years old.
He is survived by his brother, Eugene A. Edgett Jr, who resides in Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. William, known to family and friends as Bill, was born in Baltimore, MD to Eugene A. Edgett Sr. and Priscilla Streett Edgett. His older sister Priscilla McCulloch and his younger sister Ann Curran, are deceased. Bill was a lifeguard in Ocean City, MD in the late 1930’s. He later enlisted in the Army Air Corps and was a gunner. He attended the University of Maryland and received his law degree. Bill went to George Washington University and received his law certification in Arbitration. He met his wife, Bronwen, in Baltimore and they were married prior to his attendance at George Washington University. He practiced law and had a long, successful career. He worked as an arbitrator for many years until he was 83 years old. He enjoyed boating with his wife on their sailboat and spent most weekends in the spring, summer and fall on the Chesapeake Bay. They traveled and often chartered sailboats in the Caribbean. They resided in the Hunt Valley area before Bill moved to his home in Bluffton, South Carolina after his beloved wife, Bronwen, passed in 2002.
