WILLIAM “MR. BILL” LESLIE HEAD, SR., age 60, of Edgewood, MD, died on March 17, 2006 at his home. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late Ollie Mack and Marguerite Harriet Bishop Head. A life-long resident of Harford County, he was a long-time employee of the Harford County Board of Education and a 15-year employee of Harford County. He also worked for Klein’s and Safeway supermarkets. He attended the Central Consolidated School in Hickory, was a member of the Helping Hands Ministries in Churchville, MD, and chaired the AA group that met at the Churchville Rec. Center for 20 years. Known for his cooking, he held an annual picnic each July that showcased his talents in that area. He also loved the Baltimore Ravens.
Mr. Head is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lillie Mae Edwards Head of Edgewood, MD; four sons, William Leslie Head, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD, Jermaine JeVohn Head of Belcamp, MD, Terry Arnell Head and Brian Allen Head, both of Edgewood, MD; four brothers, Maurice L. Bishop, Sr. of Fallston, MD, Roger A. Head of Chase, MD, Thomas A. Head of Edgewood, MD, and Robert T. Head of Edgewood, MD; one sister, Cheryl A. Walker of Edgewood, MD; and four grandchildren, ShaKara Head, Jermaine Head and Maraina Phillips, all of Belcamp, MD and Samara Maynelle Head of Edgewood, MD.
