William J. Ryan

WILLIAM J. RYAN, age 87, of Perry Point, MD, died on January 8, 2008 at Perry Point VA Medical Center. Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late William Charles and Genevieve Ryan and husband of the late Helen Elizabeth Cavey Ryan. Formerly of Harford County, he was raised by his loving grandmother, Rose Blunt in Baltimore. An Army veteran, he served in WWII where he was wounded twice. A truck driver, he was an active and loyal member of the DAV and enjoyed travelling all over the countryside participating in DAV reunions. He loved the Baltimore Colts.

Mr. Ryan is survived by one son, William C. Ryan and his wife, Bonnie R., of Joppa, MD; one daughter, Rose Mary Hawley and her husband, Kenny, of Indian Harbor Beach, FL; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
