William J. "Billy" Kahoe, age 57, of Abingdon, MD, died on December 11, 2008 at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Robert Francis and Ellen Elizabeth Kurtz Kahoe. He owned his own business where he was an energy consultant. An avid hunter, fisherman, and poker player, he played in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in 2006. He enjoyed spending time with his family eating crabs.
Mr. Kahoe is survived by his wife of seven years, Michael Ann Scarborough Kahoe of Abingdon, MD; Anna M. Votta and husband, Craig R., of Hydes, MD, Hillary E. Smolenski and husband, James P., of Bel Air, MD, and Shannon L. Kahoe of Abingdon, MD; brothers, Robert F. Kahoe Jr. and Kevin S. Kahoe, both of Bel Air, MD; sisters, Ellen K. Maschke of Charlotte, NC, Caroline B. Kahoe of Abingdon, MD, Lucinda Kahoe, Vivian Kahoe and Lois K. Nelson, all of Bel Air, MD, Kimberly K. Muenter of Tampa, FL, Jacqueline K. Frampton of Annapolis, MD, and Mary K. Chubb of Bel Air, MD; four grandchildren, Kayla M. Votta, Clayton R. Votta, and Emma C. Votta, all of Hydes, MD, and Rylee L. Smolenski of Bel Air, MD.
