William Harding Stiers

William (Bill) Harding Stiers (68) of Maryland.

Passing Thursday, the 23rd day of May 2013 at Upper Chesapeake Hospital. He was born on the fifth day of September in the Lords' year of 1944. Son of the late Mary P. Stiers and father James G. Stiers. He served 14 honorable years in the Navy. He was a member of Coggins Memorial Church of Lexington, NC.

Survived by his spouse Christa Schabl Stiers, three children Belinda Tomes of Lafayette GA, Son James Stiers and daughter-in-law Tracy Stiers of Brockton, MA, and John Stiers and spouse Lisa Stiers of Ocala, FL, nine grand children, and four great-grand children. His one brother Jerry Stiers and spouse Sonja Stiers of Lexington, NC, as well as pets Sunshine and Chopper.

The service was a private ceremony attended by his immediate family.

He was a loving Father and dedicated family man.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to the American cancer society in memory of William Stiers.
