William H. Finney, age 88, of Bel Air, MD passed away on January 20, 2019 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of William Oliver and Evelyn (Pyle) Finney and husband of Donna Mae (Ritchie) Finney. He loved bluebirds and had blue bird boxes in his yard. He was an avid gardener, loved his plants and flowers and he also loved to work on World War II models, he was very talented. He was a good story teller about his childhood and what it was like to grow up in Bel Air. His grandparents owned and operated Pyles Grocery and Meat Market on Main Street during the 1930's and 40's. William enjoyed fishing and wildlife as well as hunting when he was younger, and he had a bird dog and hunted over many areas of Bel Air that have since been developed.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Finney is survived by son, W. David Finney (Patty J.) and daughter, Patricia Anne Finney; and his beloved kitten, Tommy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Donald C. Finney.
