WILLIAM FROMMEYER LUTTERS, age 82, of Forest Hill, MD, died on February 5, 2007, at his home after a long battle with dementia. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William Bower Lutters Jr. and the late Fannie Marguerite Frommeyer Lutters. He retired in 1986 as a Research and Development Engineer on filters for Brunswick Corporation. His prior employment included Bendix Corporation, Closs Volkswagen and some watchmaking. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII during the Battle of the Bulge. He was recalled in 1950 and was honorably discharged.
Mr. Lutters is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Elaine Schmidt Lutters of Forest Hill, MD; two sons, Gary Eugene Lutters and his wife, Bertha, of Jarrettsville, MD, and Brian Matthew Lutters and his wife, Gail, of Forest Hill, MD; four grandchildren, Shannon Labhart Lutters of Abingdon, MD, William Thomas Lutters of Forest Hill, MD, Ryan Worthington Lutters of Jarrettsville, MD, and Aaron Joseph Lutters of Jarrettsville, MD; one brother, John W. Lutters and his wife Naomi of Parkville, MD; and two nephews.
