William F. Goldstraw, age 80, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on June 9, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William Frederick Goldstraw Sr. and Dorothy Goldstraw. Beloved husband for 53 years, of the late Carolyn Marie Goldstraw.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy he served our country during the Korean War. He enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, crabbing and traveling, especially cruising with his wife. A self taught artistic craftsman, his hobbies included photography, wood working, carving, modeling, painting, and he was even quilting to the end of his life.
Mr. Goldstraw is survived by his son, William M. Goldstraw and wife, Kandy, of Abingdon; daughter, Linda M. Argentino and fiancé, Russ Price, of Havre de Grace; and four grandchildren, Joshua B. and Marisa M. Argentino of Havre de Grace, Katie Young and husband Mike of Baltimore, Ryan K. Barry of Abingdon; great-granddaughter, Audrey Young; brother-in-law Charlie Ridgaway and wife Jill of PA. He also leaves behind his beloved companion, Buddy the beagle.
