William E. Preston Iii

William Edgar Preston, III, 63, of Deland, FL, formerly of Bel Air, MD, died Friday, June 25, 2010. He was the son of the late William E. Preston Jr. and the late Ruth Anne Stewart Preston. Bill was a graduate of Bel Air High School and the University of Maryland.

He is survived by his wife Lauretta Storath Preston, of Deland, FL, daughter Heather Preston Givens and her husband Craig, of Lancaster, PA, and daughter
Elizabeth Preston Mustafa and her husband Nadeem, of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Bill had two grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren. He was brother to Beverly Preston Jones and Mary Linda Preston Creswell of
Bel Air, MD.

Bill served in the United States Navy where he was awarded a National Defense Service Medal, and he worked for the Federal Government at Aberdeen Proving Ground until his retirement in 2006. Bill was a hobbyist and a collector of antiques, trains, and cars. He had a lifelong interest in trains and the great outdoors. Bill was involved in several model railroad clubs throughout his life. Bill enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, and reading, and he loved making people laugh with his great sense of humor.
