William "Bill" Dobbs

William "Bill" Dobbs, age 83, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on December 18, 2023. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Thomas and Florence (Cernik) Dobbs and the beloved husband of Laura (Ehrman) Dobbs for 34 years. Bill was a dedicated veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country with honor and pride.

Bill was a man of strong character and community spirit. He was a member of Bel Air American Legion #39 and Lighthouse Community Fellowship, where he found fellowship and shared his faith with others. In his professional life, Bill applied his skills as a welder in the steel and construction industry, leaving a lasting mark on the structures he helped build.

Outside of work, Bill found joy and solace in the great outdoors. An avid deer hunter and fisherman, he appreciated the beauty of nature and the thrill of the hunt. Bill was also a skilled woodworker, creating pieces that reflected his craftsmanship and passion for working with his hands.

William is survived by his devoted wife, Laura, and his loving children: Daniel (Linda Meck) Dobbs, Michael (Melissa) Dobbs, Sean (Megan) Dobbs, and Angie (William) Muir. He is also remembered by his stepson, James Crowl, Jr. Bill leaves behind a legacy of love and family, including 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is fondly remembered by his siblings, Thomas, Judith, and Jean.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Lisa Peffers, and sister, Linda. His memory will live on through the stories shared by family and friends.
