William Clair Ermatinger

William Clair Ermatinger, age 88, of Glen Arm, Maryland passed away on July 1, 2022 at Glen Meadows Retirement Community in Glen Arm, Maryland. William was born on June 4, 1934 in Ashtabula, Ohio. He was the son of the late Alexander Eugene John and Shirley Marie (Brassington) Ermatinger. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife Mary Jeanne  (Lookingland ) Ermatinger. He was a veteran of the U.S.Army.   He was a member of the St. Andrew's Society of Baltimore and the Men's Garden Club of Baltimore. He was a bereavement facilitator for the Charleston Retirement Group, the GBMC Hospital, and SIDS, and served on the board of The Compassionate Friends. He could be found enjoying Gardening, Genealogy, Reading and creating in his Woodworking Shop at Owl Branch Lane.

In addition to his wife, William is survived by his daughter, Amy M. Wright; sons, William R. Ermatinger, John G. Ermatinger and bonus son, Christopher P. Bland.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by daughter, Frances Kathleen Ermatinger, brothers, Donald Ermatinger, Eugene Ermatinger, and James Ermatinger, sisters, Shirley Ginty, and Marion Buchanan. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
