William "Bill" Weissert

June 17, 1941 — April 17, 2025

William “Bill” Weissert, 83, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away on April 17, 2025, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.

Born in Camden, New Jersey, Bill was the beloved son of the late Herman and Marie (Zecca) Weissert and the devoted husband of Joyce Weissert. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Bill carried a strong sense of service and dedication throughout his life.

Bill had a natural gift for connecting with people, which made him an exceptional salesman. He began selling at the age of five and never stopped — eventually becoming one of the top agents with Prudential. He was also a member of the Life Underwriters Training Council (LUTC). His talent in sales was matched only by his warm spirit and sharp sense of humor.

A faithful member of St. Ignatius Church, Bill lived his life with heart and integrity. He loved to sing and had a beautiful voice — often filling the house with songs, especially when he was happy.

But more than anything, Bill treasured his family. His wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of his world. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his bond with his grandsons was especially close.

Bill’s life was full — of stories, laughter, songs, and deep love for those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife William is survived by his son, Richard (Allison) Weissert; daughter, Donna (Marty) Rovan; grandsons, Eric Weissert, Andrew Weissert, and Daniel Weissert; granddaughters, Mandy Smith, and Jessie Smith; great-grandson, Quinn; and great-granddaughter, Isla.
