William ''Bill'' W. Wisel

May 15, 1932 — February 4, 2016

William "Bill" W. Wisel, of Fallston, MD passed away on Febuary 4th, 2016 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD at the age of 83. He was the son of the late Abram Wisel and Charlotte (Cohen) Wisel. Born in Berlin, Germany, Bill immigrated to the United States with his parents at the age of six. He and his family spent a short time living in New York and then settled in Easton, MD in 1939 where he lived until joining the service.

After serving in the Air Force, where he was stationed in Texas, Bill moved back to Easton and then to Baltimore to attend college. That is where he met his wife of 52 years, M. Patricia (Meusel) Wisel. He is survived by his wife, M. Patricia, his children Sandra Wisel Libby of Rosedale, MD, Steven Wisel and his wife Tish of Bel Air, MD and David Wisel of Fawn Grove, PA, and two grandchildren, Alex and Caitlin Libby of Rosedale, MD.

During his career, Bill worked for Bendix and AAI where he repaired radio and navigational equipment aboard naval ships. He then went to work for Baltimore County Public Schools as an A/V repair technician. While with Baltimore County, he returned to college and became certified as a teacher. He taught industrial arts classes including electronics, blueprint reading and air conditioning repair until his retirement.

Bill held an Extra Class Amateur Radio Operator's license and was a Ham for more than half a century. His call letters were K3KEI and is now a silent key. While he wasn't much of a traveler, he used his Ham Radio to visit virtually every corner of the globe. Bill's other passion was sailing and he served as Treasurer for Fleet 19 Catalina 27 sailing club of which he was a long time member.

In appreciation of their compassionate care, contributions may be made to:
