William (Bill) E. Medley Sr., age 74, of Bel Air, MD passed away on December 24, 2017 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in Sugar Grove, VA, he was the son of James Stuart Medley and Juanita “Bonnie” (Wyatt) Medley. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, turkey shoots, watching WVA Mountaineers Football and crabbing. He worked as an Automotive Service Manager for many years, including fleet manager at PHH Fleet America in Hunt Valley. He also worked for his brother Ralph Medley at Joppa AutomaticTransmission before retiring. He was past president of Abingdon Volunteer Fire Company.
Mr. Medley is survived by his wife of 17 years, Joan Medley; three sons William (Holly) Medley, Jr. of Joppa, and their children, Adam and Amanda; Erik David Fletcher of Rising Sun and his children, Tyler, Daniel, Amber and the late Matthew; Andrew R. (Kim) Fletcher of Abingdon and their son, Ian; daughter, Donna Lynn Dulski of Edgewood and her children, Lindsey and Ryan, and her grandchildren, Jovi, Zy and Josiyah; six sisters, Pat Mills of Rural Retreat, VA, Juanita “Nicky” Bonner of Elkton, MD, Phyllis Medley of Rural Retreat, VA, Gay Tuggle of Gainesville, TX, Faye Freeman of Marion, VA, and Ivy Medley-Cox of Myrtle Beach, SC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Ralph Medley, Sr., sisters, Alma Moorehead and Jean Bengry, and grandson, Matthew David Fletcher.
