William ''Bill'' E. Foster Sr.

WILLIAM "BILL" E. FOSTER SR., age 83, of Joppa, MD, died on February 5, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Edmund George and Stella M. Wiley Foster. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was a prisoner of war during WWII. He retired from Martin Marietta after 39 years where he was a mechanical engineer. He taught geometry at F.I.T. in Florida. He was a past member of the Boumi Temple and a current member of the Scottish Rite in Baltimore. He was also a member and former vestryman at St. Alban's Anglican Church in Joppa.

Mr. Foster is survived by his wife of 63 years, Suzanne G. Gregson Foster of Joppa, MD; one son, William E. Foster Jr. of Slidell, LA; a sister, Claire F. Gregory of Baltimore, MD; and two grandchildren, William E. Foster III of New Jersey and Charles C. Foster of Virginia.
