William A. Larney Sr.

William A. Larney, Sr., age 87, of Ocean View, Delaware passed away on August 13, 2021, at BeeBe Medical Center in Lewes, Delaware. Born in the Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late John and Veronica (Barrett) Larney. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps. He had an illustrious thirty-six-year career with Amoco Oil. He was a member of St. Ann Parish in Bethany Beach.

Bill cherished his family and friends, loved his home and getting away to golf. He enjoyed the beach and family vacations. He loved spending time with his grandkids, bringing them donuts every Saturday. He fondly became known as Papa Donuts.

Bill is survived by Joan (ne Heaney) Larney for 66 years; four daughters, Kim (Rick) Black of Bel Air, MD, Laura (Garry) Lang of Bel Air, MD, Susan (Blaine) Greig of Darlington, MD, Debbie (Chris) Ruane of Forest Hill, MD; son, William (Debbie) A. Larney, Jr. of Phoenix, MD; grandchildren Rick (Tara) Black, Jr. of Savannah, GA, Matthew (fiancé Meredith Walker) of Nottingham, MD, Michael (Brittany) Black of Bel Air, MD, Allie (Zach) Hagerman of Street, MD, Blaine (Dana) Greig, III of Whiteford, MD, William Larney and Olivia Lang of Boulder, CO, Devon (Sara) Ruane of Bel Air, MD, Aidan, Chrissy and Sean Ruane, of Forest Hill, MD, Liam Larney of ME; Grace and Fiona Larney of Phoenix, MD; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Zachary, (Bubs) and Gavin Hagerman; Chesney, Audrey, Mallory, Blaine, IV, Benjamin Greig, and Jameson Black. He is predeceased by sister Bernadette Galvin and grandson Conner Greig. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
