WILLIAM A. CERNIK, age 71, of Abingdon, MD, died on June 23, 2006 at the Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late John and Marie Stobla Cernik. He was a railroad conductor for 19 years and worked 25 years for Webster’s Citgo and Fallston Citgo as a cashier. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Cernik is survived by his wife, Ginny L. Fehrer Cernik; three daughters, Winnie Pate of Bel Air, MD, Cindy Butler of Jarrettsville, MD and Vicki Ferandes of Forest Hill, MD; one step-daughter, Linda A. Canapp of Fallston, MD; three sisters, Josephine Greiner of Edgemere, MD, Dorothy Martinez and Helen Douglas, both of Towson, MD; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cernik was predeceased by a daughter, Pam Cernik.
