Wilhelmina Lee Blades

Wilhelmina L. Blades, age 65, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on November 10, 2022 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. She was the daughter of Lee and Gertrude (Brethauer) Blades and wife of the late Charles Quast. Known as Willie by her family and friends, Willie was a city girl born in Baltimore, MD and lived in Federal Hill and Canton. She graduated from Southern High School in 1976 then went on to work in transportation becoming operations manager for trucking companies. She moved to Bel Air nine years ago. She was a beloved parishioner at Calvary Baptist Church and a member of TOPS Fallston chapter. Willie enjoyed watching her hometown Ravens and Orioles play. She loved chocolate, spending time with and going out to lunch with her friends, and she adored her terrier, Isabel.

Willie is survived by her sister, Geraldina Blades of Easton; brothers, Nicholas (Gisela) Blades of Chester and David (Marie) Blades of Baltimore; brother-in-law, Charles Wells; niece, Elizabeth Wells; nephews, Kenneth Blades and Robert Blades; and several dear friends in Harford County.
