Wilbur J. Anders, age 86, of Bel Air, MD passed away on July 10, 2018 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Street, MD, he was the son of the late Floyd Abe and Annie Pearl (Bratton) Anders. He was a member of Bel Forest Baptist Church. He retired in 1996 from Corbin Fuel after 15 years of service. He had also worked for Harry T. Campbell for 10 years and Bata Shoe Company. He enjoyed many weekends of fishing at their home in Chincoteague Island before retiring to Bradenton and making his tin men. Wilbur served many years as a deacon at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Maryland and also at Elwood Baptist Church in Florida.
Mr. Anders is survived by his wife of 64 years, come August 12, Barbara Kilby Anders; son, Michael Fred Anders of Bradenton, FL; daughter, Brenda Lehr of Bel Air; sister, Pauline Bryant of Martinsville, VA; granddaughter, Melissa Ann Lehr of Bel Air; grandson, Michael Allen Anders of Bradenton, FL; great-granddaughter, Brianna Lehr; and niece, Vicki Upchurch of Bel Air.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bel Forest Baptist Church, 603 Vale Road, Bel Air, MD, 21014.
