WILBUR H. KNIGHT, JR., age 70, of Joppatowne, MD, died on February 3, 2006 at his home. Born in Parkville, MD, he was the son of the late Wilbur Henry Sr. and Mae Elizabeth Copenhaver Knight. He was a resident of Harford County and Joppatowne for 42 years, and was an electrician who owned Knico Electronics of Bel Air, MD and Joppa, MD for 30 years. He also owned the Antique Restaurant and Lounge in Joppa for five years. He was an active member of Towne Baptist Church for five years, where he participated in several mission trips, was a member of the choir, participated in drama, and was a member of the Ebenezer Sunday School class. He loved to golf, and was a member of the senior team at the Rocky Point Club. He also loved to bowl and played in the Seniors Pinnacle League. He served his country in the armed forces. His family said that he was a devoted husband and father who loved his Lord, and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Mr. Knight is survived by his wife of 47 years, Evelyna Violet Barley Knight of Joppatowne, MD; one daughter, Sandra Somervell, and her husband John, of Joppatowne, MD; two sons, Wilbur Henry Knight III of Joppa, MD and Stephen D. Knight, and his wife Kathy, of Dundalk, MD; one brother, James Knight of Ocala, FL; one sister, Jean Ziroll of Detroit, MI; three grandchildren, Tracy Knight, Kathleen Knight and Krista Knight, all of Dundalk, MD; one great-grandson, Keith Lendza-Knight of Dundalk, MD; and one aunt, Teet Davis of Baltimore, MD.
Pallbearers were Pat McGuigan, Steve Ward, Tim Blackburn, Bill Blackburn, George Barley and Len Pyecha.
