Webster Lamar Hopkins Jr., a resident of Abingdon, MD, died at the age of 89 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. He was born in Long Island, NY to Webster Lamar Hopkins Sr. and Alice (Greenland) Hopkins and was the husband, for 62 years, of the late Betty Ann Hopkins. A veteran of the U.S. Marines, he worked at Edgewood Arsenal for 40 years.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Sandra Hopkins of Abingdon; daughter, Suzanne K. Barbato (late husband David) of Forest Hill; grandchildren, Craig, Julia, Amanda, Nathan and Nicole, Nicholas, Michael, Emma, Marissa and Leanna Barbato, Niki and Tom McNeil, Janis and Dan Salmon, Dotti and Brian Burdsall, Aubrey Cimino, Kimberly and Daryl, and Caleb White; great-grandchildren, Karlie, Arianne, Jake, Alex, Josh, Jason, Mia, Harper, Anthony, Samantha, Tasha, Farrah, Allen, Patrick, Austin, Amber, Mykaela, Kieran, and Noble; and great-great-grandchildren, Drayson and Avirah Robinson. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sisters, Phyllis Wood of Albuquerque, Eunice Mitchell of Havre de Grace and Elizabeth Sanders of Havre de Grace.
