Warren G. Eller

Warren G. Eller, age 90, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on Monday, March 26, 2012 at Hart Heritage Assisted Living in Forest Hill, Maryland. He was the son and last remaining sibling of the late Benjamin Harrison Eller and Leona Minton Eller. He was born May 9, 1921 in Purlear, North Carolina.

He served his country in the Armed Forces during World War II, stationed in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands with the 11th Army Air Corps. After the war, he came to Maryland and worked at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds until his retirement.

He was predeceased by his wife Lessie of 58 years, and his youngest son Bruce. He also was predeceased by 6 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by two sons, Warren and wife Joanna of Forest Hill, Tony and his wife, Mary Ann of Charlotte, North Carolina, daughter-in-law, Shirl Eller of Bel Air, three grandchildren, Kevin Eller of Maybrook, New York, Scott Eller of Bear, Delaware, and Ted Eller of Forest Hill, Maryland and three great-grandchildren Nicholas Eller, Sarah Eller and Lauren Eller of Maybrook, New York; and sister-in-law Pauline Eller of Abingdon, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He attended Mt. Pleasant High School, Ferguson, North Carolina. He was a member of the Maple View Baptist Church for over 50 years, Joppa, Maryland. Mr. Eller enjoyed bowling, gardening and hunting with family members in North Carolina. He traveled to Germany, Austria, Oahu and Hawaii and always enjoyed attending his family reunions and functions in North Carolina.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Hart Heritage and Hospice for all their efforts and support during his stay and last days.
