Wanda Sue Tillinghast, age 48, of Earleville, MD, died on December 17, 2009 at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, she was the daughter of Emory Randolph Gullion of VA and the late Ruth Ann Simms Gullion. After a very long and courageous battle with small cell lung cancer, she ascended to heaven to caress the loving face of God with her loving family around her. A commercial truck driver, she enjoyed gardening and liked to collect frog themed items.
Mrs. Tillinghast is survived by her husband of eleven years, Robert Allan Tillinghast of Earleville, MD; son, Christopher C. Gullion of Newark, DE; daughters, Tammy L. Baker of Newark, DE, April M. Mahoney of Oxford, NC, and Cathleen L. Engelhardt of Earleville, MD; brother, Emory Randolph Gullion Jr. of Aberdeen, MD; step-brother, Richard L. Stahl of Elkton; sister, Ruth Ann Windon of Nettie, WV, Ida Marie Rohrbaugh of Edgewood, MD; step-sisters, Rebecca Taylor of Elkton, MD and Hope Vail of Havre de Grace, MD; and grandchildren, Allen M. Baker of Newark, DE, Steven L. Mahoney, Nickoles T. Mahoney, Jeffrey H. Mahoney, and Echo I. Mahoney, all of Oxford, NC, Donald Price Jr. and Wanda Sue Price, both of Joppa, MD, and Eileen Ruth Baker of Newark, DE. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her brother, Allen Gullion and grandchild, Brianna Gullion.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the college fund for the grandchildren.
