Wanda Kowalski

WANDA KOWALSKI, age 80, of Manchester, MD, died on September 16, 2006 at her home. Born in Passaic, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Veronica Matejek Kowalski. She was a homemaker who worked on her family farm doing numerous chores. She spoke both Polish and English. She very much enjoyed her adopted family at Penn Mar Homes; going to ballgames, The Grand Ole Opry, and concerts with them. She also enjoyed music and loved to sing and dance.

Ms. Kowalski is survived by three nephews, Stephen C. Harris of Edgewood, MD, Donald E. Harris of Aberdeen, MD, and Denny D. Harris of Joppatowne, MD; one brother-in-law, Clarence O. Harris of Edgewood, MD; two cousins Richard Savarese and Phyllis Savarese, both of Baltimore, MD; five grandnephews; and one grandniece.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Kowalski was predeceased by a sister, Josephine M. Harris.

Pallbearers were Donald Harris Jr., Daniel Harris, David Harris, Ryan Harris, Kyle Harris, and Richard Savarese. Honorary pallbearer was Phyllis Savarese.
