Walter Preston Sills, Sr.

Walter Preston Sills Sr., age 63, of Darlington, MD, died on August 26, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Emmorton, MD, he was the son of the late Jacob Henry Sills Sr. and Margaret May Lawson Sills. He was employed with Asplundh Tree Expert Company for 40 years where he was a tree trimmer. An avid fisherman and hunter, he enjoyed working in the garden and going to car shows. He loved helping people.

Mr. Sills is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rose Marie Johnson Sills of Darlington, MD; five sons, Walter P. Sills Jr. of Airville, PA, Christopher H. Sills and Kevin J. Sills, both of Darlington, MD, Timmothy S. Booher of Augusta, GA, and Rusty L. Booher of Darlington, MD; brother, Jacob H. Sills Jr. of Joppa, MD; four sisters, Dorothy Blevins and Betty Jo Sills, both of Edgewood, MD, Ruth Ann Osborne of Aberdeen, MD, and Nancy Fender of Edgewood, MD; and three grandchildren, Kevin J. Jordan of Port Deposit, MD, Noah J. Sills of Delta, PA, and Ashley N. Sills of Pylesville, MD.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Fabie, Mark Gullion, Carroll Taylor, Dave Naringo, Scott Placzek, and Rob Hicks.
