Walter L. McJilton, age 86, of Bel Air, MD, died on August 31, 2011 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Walter LeRoy McJilton Sr. and Ellen Meyers McJilton. A resident of Harford County for 19 years, he had worked 20 years for the IRS and was involved in the investigation of Watergate. A staunch Republican, he enjoyed reading and staying on top of current events. A man of strong faith, he was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church for 18 years. He enjoyed traveling, watching the Orioles and Ravens, and Western movies, and was a Marksman competitor for 30 years.
Mr. McJilton is survived by his wife of 19 years, Edith H. McJilton of Bel Air, MD; children, Irene Hube and husband, Dennis, of Bel Air, MD, Walter L. McJilton III and wife, Deborah, of Carney, MD and Robert B. McJilton and wife, Leslie, of Parkville, MD; sister, Ellen L. Debes of Bel Air, MD; brother–in-law Dick Hagy of Pine Town, NC; grandchildren, Dennis R. Hube Jr., Megan Hube, Timothy McJilton, Laura Phillips, Brian McJilton and Kevin McJilton; and great-grandchildren, Elias Hube, Aubrielle Carr, Jaden Kirby, and Julianna McJilton.
