Walter George Budd

Walter George Budd, age 79, of Joppatowne, MD, died on June 29, 2011 at his home. Born in Wharton, NJ, he was the son of the late Hulse and Elizabeth Kathryn Harbourt Budd. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served from 1950 to 1953. A resident of Harford County since 1974, he retired from Eastern Stainless Steel where he was a supervisor, and was a member of Masonic Lodge-Independence Lodge #42 in Hackettstown, NJ. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as, hunting, fishing, and boating. He was also a collector of old memorabilia.

Mr. Budd is survived by his wife, who he married on September 24, 1955, Carole L. Budd of Joppatowne, MD; son, Laurence W. Budd and wife, Phyllis, of Mechanicsville, MD; daughters, Lauren L. Nasuta and husband, Daniel, of Mt. Airy, MD, Carole Barrett and husband, Martin J. Barrett III of Bowie, MD, and Sandra Schneider and fiancé, Larry Carpenter, of Pataskala, OH; sisters, Bertha Savage of Atlanta, GA and Marjorie Smith of Merritt Island, FL; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
