Walter Duffy Miller, age 88, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on January 18, 2014 at his home. Born in New Haven, CT, he was the son of the late James Harold and Anna Elizabeth Duffy Miller and husband of the late Helen McKiernan Miller. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served our country during WWII. He retired in 1990 from Stanley Hardware where he was a sales representative for the Baltimore Washington Region. A member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Fallston, he was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all.
Mr. Miller is survived by his sons, John Michael Miller of Baltimore, Joseph Alan Miller of Abingdon and Timothy James Miller of Pensacola, FL; daughters, Mary Ellen Beechener of Severna Park, Patricia Ann Warnagiris of White Hall, Kathleen Ann Brown of Conowingo, Janet Marie Goldscher of Owings Mills and Nancy Miller Dysard of Bel Air; grandchildren, Megan Davis, Brian Beechener, Sean Miller, Sarah Sparks, Kelly and John Warnagiris, Christopher Brown, Amanda, Walter, Jennifer and Jessica Miller, and Justin and Joshua Dysard; great-grandchildren, Quinn Sparks and Gia Yoder; step-grandchildren, Shana Yakobi, Michael Goldscher and Beth Ott; and step great-grandchildren, Ben, Edyn and Mayan Yakobi, and Nolan and Lucas Ott. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son, Raymond Thomas Miller and siblings, Raymond, James, Edward and Paul Miller, Jean Shay and Ann Butcher.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Brian Beechener, Sean Miller, John Warnagiris, Christopher Brown, Walter Miller, Justin Dysard and Joshua Dysard.
