WALTER “BUD” M. HARE, JR., age 80, of Edgewood, died in Greater Baltimore Medical Center on February 24, 2005. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Walter Morrison, Sr. and Agnes Koyne Hare. He had retired after 38 years of service at Bethlehem Steel where he worked as a loader. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Edgewood and the Edgewood Senior Center. He liked to play Bingo and played Santa for many years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II.
Mr. Hare is survived by his wife of 58 years, Katherine Harrington Hare; four sons, Walter M. Hare, III of Pasadena, MD; David A. Hare of Parkville; Joseph M. Hare of Bel Air; Thomas G. Hare of Demascus; three daughters, Cherie A. Place of Perry Hall; Katherine M. Reynolds of White Marsh; Maura R. Syrylo of Felton, Pennsylvania; one brother, Michael J. Hare of Ocean Pines, MD; one sister, Mary E. Stauffer of Ocean Pines, MD; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Walter M. Hare, III, David A, Hare, Cherie A. Place, Katherine M. Reynolds, Joseph M. Hare, and Thomas G. Hare. Honorary pallbearers will be Maura R. Syrylo.
