W. CECIL TAPSCOTT, age 79, of Bel Air, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on April 1, 2005. Born in Scottsville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Wilton Howard and Cora Baber Tapscott. A resident of Harford County since 1958, in the past he was a partner in Chemical Products Company, Paidon Products Company and Jarrettsville Hardware. He had been sole owner of Paidon Products since 1990. Along with his other achievements, he worked along with his two sons to make HARCO Auto Park the successful business it is today. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II in the Pacific Theatre.
Mr. Tapscott is survived by his wife of 52 years, India Madeline Condrey Tapscott; two sons, Wayne Tapscott and his wife, Sally of Churchville and Larry Tapscott and his wife, Wendy of Churchville; four brothers, James Tapscott of Florida, Ray Tapscott of Charlottesville, Virginia, Douglas Tapscott, and Lindsay Tapscott, both of Scottsville, Virginia; two sisters, Mary Emma Tapscott and Doris Mae Tapscott, both of Scottsville, Virginia; four grandchildren, Beth, April, Matt, and Jessica Tapscott all of Churchville.
