W. Carl Young

W. CARL YOUNG, age 77, of Forest Hill, MD, formerly of Edgewood, died on February 16, 2008 at his home. Born in Amonate, VA, he was the son of the late Winfred Carl and Virginia Elaine Wilson Young and husband, for 53 years, of the late Mildred Young. A veteran of the Korean War, he served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Westinghouse for 32 years where he was a general manager. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a former member of Edgewood Baptist Church where he was a deacon and trustee. A Little League baseball coach, he loved camping, boating, fishing and enjoyed bluegrass music.

Mr. Young is survived by two sons, Danny C. Young of Delta, PA and David L. Young of Bel Air, MD; a daughter, Donna Harris of Forest Hill, MD; a brother, H.C. Young of Virginia Beach, VA; four sisters, Margaret Myers of Bel Air, MD, Patricia Snezek of Elyria, OH, Juanita Lester of Newark, DE, and Dorothy Gomeringer of Fallston, MD; and seven grandchildren.
