Vivian Gray Medley

VIVIAN GRAY MEDLEY, age 73, of Havre de Grace, MD, died on July 4, 2008 at her home. Born in Joppa, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Peyton and Margaret Mabel Campbell Ferren. A lifelong resident of Harford County, she worked for 30 years as a nurse. She was a huge Baltimore Ravens fan and collected lighthouses and angels. She enjoyed her children, going to the ocean, reading, and shopping.

Ms. Medley is survived by a son, James R. Medley Jr. and his wife, Tammy E., of Joppa, MD; three daughters, Vickie Sue Matney of Kingsville, MD, Deborah Jane Switalski and her husband, Pete, of Abingdon, MD, and Judith Ann Parks and her husband, Bob, of Whiteford, MD; a brother, Lonnie C. Ferren of Seaford, DE; six grandchildren, Joshua David Parks of Kingsville, MD, James Ulysses Parks of Delta, PA, Megan Gray Switalski of Baltimore, MD, James Lundy Medley of Joppa, MD, Victoria Ashley Matney and Kristin Marie Matney, both of Kingsville, MD; and two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Parks and Peyton Ulysses Parks, both of Delta, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Eula Jane Rash and Doris Ann Stancil.

Pallbearers were Josh Parks, Jim Parks, Jim Medley, Mike McAndrew, Calvin Florey, and Tony McIntee. Honorary pallbearer was James R. Medley Sr.
