Vito "Victor" Ferrara, age 93, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on March 11, 2016 at his home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Vincenzo and Concetta (Scotti) Ferrara. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corp and had worked as a Methods Analyst for an employment consultant. A member of the Sons of Italy, he was also and Third and Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He volunteered at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in the Cardiology Unit and participated in fund raising for community projects and the Knights of Columbus. He also volunteered during elections and was an avid reader.
Mr. Ferrara is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carmella Joan (DiGiovanni) Ferrara; daughter, Linda McComas-Wood and husband, Robert Glenn McComas-Wood, of Phoenixville, PA; grandchildren, Matthew and Jeremy; and great-grandchildren, Jack, Collin and Samuel. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Thomas Ferrara.
