Virginia W. Norris

VIRGINIA W. NORRIS, age 94, of Havre de Grace, MD, died on May 5, 2008 at Citizens Care Center in Havre de Grace. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Walter Lee and Pattie Nelson Williams Watson and wife of the late Rev. Alden F. Norris. An avid reader, she loved the Orioles and the Ravens, and had worked in the insurance business where she was a supervisor. She attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Essex, MD where her husband had been the pastor. She played piano and the organ in church, and also taught Sunday school for over 30 years.

Mrs. Norris is survived by two daughters, Connie Norris Kolodner and her husband, William, of Baltimore, MD and Judith Morrell and her husband, Jerry, of Havre de Grace, MD; five grandchildren, Bonney Zangla of Forest Hill, MD, Christopher French of Joppatowne, MD, Wendy Brown of Colora, MD, Jason French of Forest Hill, MD, and Michele Shaivitz of Abingdon, MD; and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, William Watson, and a sister, Selma Hicks.

Pallbearers will be Christopher French, Jason French, Lou Zangla, Gary Redemann, Howard Brown, Mitchell Shaivitz, and Justin Crabb.
