Virginia O. Young

VIRGINIA O. YOUNG, age 78, of Bel Air, MD, died on June 25, 2008 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Flat Ridge, VA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Ross and Mae Testerman Ross and wife of the late Loyd R. Young. She retired from Harford County Public Schools after 35 years, where she was a cafeteria worker at Dublin Elementary, Bel Air High, and Bel Air Elementary Schools. A longtime member of Mt. Tabor Methodist Church, she was a former member of The Bel Air Moose and participated in several trips with the Oak Grove Pace Setters. She loved clogging, country music, and old time gospel music. She enjoyed long walks through Hickory Hills and evening social sessions on The Bench at Hickory Hills.

Mrs. Young is survived by three sons, Franklin B. Young of Greenville, NC, Joseph D. Young of Street, MD, and Charles C. Young of Whiteford, MD; a daughter, Genevieve Young Hutton of Roanoke, VA; two sisters, Katherine C. Pitts of Gadsden, AL and Margaret Beasley of Crystal Lake, IL; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Young, Brandon M. Young, Jason E. Hutton, Justin W. Young, David W. Lauer Jr., and D. James Harkins.
