C. VIRGINIA MILLER, (nee McAllen) of Bel Air, MD, died at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on May 18, 2006, her 90th birthday. Born in Towson, MD, she was the daughter of the late Laura Montgomery Fuller McAllen and the late L. Weldon McAllen, Sr. She was the wife of the late James Donald Miller. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Towson Chapter #70, Order of the Eastern Star, and was past-president of the Westminster Assembly #245, Social Order of the Beauceant. Her family said that she enjoyed knitting, working with “Project Linus,” and making knit hats for premature and newborn infants at local hospitals.
Mrs. Miller is survived by two daughters, Deborah J. Daugherty of Owings Mills, MD and Judith L. Tristani, and her husband, James, of Bel Air, MD; one sister, Helen M. Kirk of Perry Hall, MD; and three grandchildren, Kevin M. Daugherty of Eldersburg, MD, Brienne L. Jenkins, and her husband, Gary Jenkins, Jr., of Owings Mills, MD and Colin P. Daugherty of Eldersburg, MD.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Miller was predeceased by five brothers and four sisters.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Red Devils, PO Box 36291, Towson, MD 21286-0291. The Red Devils provide support to Maryland women while undergoing breast cancer treatment, and their families.
