Virginia Mary Smith Beaty

Virginia Mary Smith Beaty, age 87, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on December 21, 2016 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. She was born in Baltimore, MD to Harry Clarence and Gertrude Clara (Whalen) Smith and was the wife of the late George W. Beaty. She was an excellent cook, liked to sew and loved gardening. She ran a ceramic business, was a voracious reader, bred English Springer Spaniels and was a very, very good bookkeeper. She also liked to travel and visited many locations that included Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, Colorado, Yellowstone Park, and all up and down the East Coast. She adored her only grandchild, Lauren.

Virginia is survived by daughter, Donna L. Feliceangeli and husband, Philip, of Clayton, DE; son, Robert Lee Beaty of Abingdon; and granddaughter, Lauren Virginia Feliceangeli.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Smith.
