Virginia Lane Brooks

Virginia Lane Brooks, age 83, of Forest Hill, MD, died on June 9, 2011 at her home. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late George and Blanche Perry Robinson and wife of the late Charles Edward Brooks. She retired, after 35 years, from Giant Food where she was a clerk. An avid gardener, she made stained glass collectibles, and enjoyed playing bingo at the Bel Air VFW.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by her sons, John D. Brooks Sr. and wife, Diana, and Robert A. Brooks, all of Forest Hill, MD, and James B. Brooks Sr. and wife, Vicki, of Pylesville, MD; and grandchildren, John D. Brooks Jr. of Bowie, MD, Amanda Hoerr of Bel Air, MD, Jason and William Hoerr, both of Westminster, MD, and James Brooks Jr. of Pylesville, MD. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Mary L. Hoerr and sister, Georgia Rose Preston.
