VIRGINIA (JINNY) CAMPBELL, formerly of Bel Air, went home to be with the Lord Jesus and loved ones who preceded her on Memorial Day, May 26, 2008. She has been a resident of Ft. Myers, Florida for the last 18 years. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1927 and grew up in Bellevue, OH. She graduated from Ohio Weslyan in 1949 and Bowling Green, with Bachelor Degrees in high school and elementary education. She taught in Ohio and California. She and her husband, Dale, were married 55 years. Their friendship, including going steady in high school, covered 70 years.
She was on kidney dialysis the past four years. When the neuropathy in her feet became severe, she had to depend on a walker. She fell at home in Florida two weeks ago and broke her arm. Her health deteriorated until her death in the Cape Coral Florida Hospital.
Virginia was active in church and choral choirs and care giving ministries. She enjoyed her ministries, family, golf, crafts, and socializing.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Campbell of Ft. Myers, FL; her son, David Campbell of Jacksonville, FL; her daughter, Susan Campbell of Bel Air, MD; sister, Sally Dugene of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
