Virginia Catherine Wolfkill, of Bel Air, died on December 2, 2007 at Stella Maris surrounded by her family. She was 68. Her friends knew her as “Ginny”. She was born June 16, 1939 and the daughter of the late Wilhelmina and Percy Adkins. She graduated from Bel Air High School in 1957. She retired as an elementary school teacher after 23 years of service.
Ginny loved people, especially her family. She always made everyone feel good even through her last days. She enjoyed a yearly trip to Shenvalee Golf Resort with her family and enjoyed eating at the Ball Park Diner in Conowingo. Spending time with her grandchildren was her favorite thing to do.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Edgar William Wolfkill of Bel Air, MD. She has two daughters, Debra Cyphers-Preston and husband, Colin, of Port Deposit, MD and Dee Halsey and husband, Brett, of Bel Air, MD. She has five grandchildren, Keith and Katlyn Cyphers of Port Deposit and, Kevin, Shane and Ben Halsey of Bel Air, MD. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she is survived by seven siblings, Wilson Adkins and wife, Burdell, of Hampstead, MD, Ed Adkins and wife, Shirley, of Arbutus, MD, Carl Adkins and wife, Pat, of Abingdon, MD, Jeanette Lewellyn of Abingdon, MD, Wayne Adkins and wife, Lil, of Aberdeen, MD, Evelyn Thorne and husband, Buddy, of Forest Hill, MD and Elaine Bennett and husband, Mike, of Aberdeen, MD.
