Virginia Ellen Cochran

Virginia Ellen Cochran, age 86, of Street, MD passed away on June 20, 2013 at Bright View Assisted Living in Bel Air, MD. Born one of eight children in Grayson County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Guy C. and Linny Hackler Hicks and wife, for 63 years, of the late Wallace Reed Cochran. She owned and operated her own upholstery business where she made slipcovers and draperies for 35 yrs. A member of Fawn Grove Nazarene Church, she served as a Sunday School teacher, Missionary President and also drove the church bus. She loved being with her family and hosting Sunday dinners.

Mrs. Cochran is survived by her daughters, Donna Whiteford of Delta, PA and Bonnie Homa of Jarrettsville; grandchildren, Jessica Brockmeyer of Havre de Grace, Ben Brockmeyer of Belcamp, Christine Schmidt of Shrewsbury, PA, Nichole Graham of Delta, PA and Kelly Law of Boulder, CO; and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Mackenzie, Isaak, Cambria, Kendell and Hunter. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons, Robert Sonny Cochran and Wallace Cochran.
