Virginia Elizabeth Leonard

VIRGINIA ELIZABETH LEONARD, age 77, of Havre de Grace, MD, died on October 30, 2006 at Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Whiteford, MD, she was the daughter of the late Paul Elmer and Nellie Elizabeth Beavers Cantler and the wife of the late John Joseph Leonard. A life long resident of Harford County, she worked at Bata Shoe Company for 25 years, where she was in packing. Her family said she loved to cook and loved her birds.

Mrs. Leonard is survived by two sons, Larry Thompson of Newark, DE, and James R. Leonard of Havre de Grace, MD; two daughters, Shirley E. Jackson, and her husband Harold P., of Street, MD, and Juanita R. Scott and her husband Mark of Aberdeen, MD; four brothers, Charles Cantler of Abingdon, MD, Arthur Cantler of Aberdeen, MD, Paul Cantler Jr. of Abingdon, MD and Gene Autry Cantler of North Carolina; and three grandchildren, Sheila Elizabeth Brown and her husband Mike of Street, MD, Michael Paul Jackson of Darlington, MD, and Jeffery S. Almony of Aberdeen, MD.
